Watch out Croc Hunter fans, here comes some serious Steve Irwin adventure!
Steve Irwin, Terri Irwin and Bindi Irwin recently chartered our very own TRUE NORTH and, you can see all the onboard action in two soon to be released documentaries!
Whale Sharks of the Wild West will make its North American premiere on Animal Planet at 9:00pm (EST) on June 11 and showcases North Star Cruises’ brand new West Coast Explorer Cruise from fremantle!
Join the Irwin’s as they discover the rugged Western Australian coastline and encounter remarkable wildlife – explore an island inhabited by hundreds of highly venomous tiger snakes, experience Steve & Bindi’s wonder as they swim together with a pod of totally wild dolphins, and then hold your breath as Steve ‘dives in’ to hand feed hammerhead and grey whaler sharks!
The Crocodile Hunter also dives on the wreck of the Batavia and explores the nearby island homes of unique wallabies and pythons. A close encounter with a humpback whale and calf provides some of the most amazing whale vision ever filmed and then it’s ashore to visit the eerie remains of the deserted whaling station.
Then just when you’re thinking that a single adventure cruise could offer no more – Steve delivers the ultimate experience – swimming with the largest fish in the world – the gigantic whale shark! A not to be missed ‘wild ride’ along a breathtaking coastline rich in natural history and adventure!
Then on June 12, watch out for part 2 – “Crocodile Coast”.
The Irwin’s had so much fun on their first cruise aboard the True North they just had to come back for another one! This time the Crocodile Hunter gets a taste of North Star Cruises’ Coral Atoll Dive Cruise and the Kimberley Wilderness Cruise as True North visits the Rowley Shoals and the Kimberley coast in one action packed adventure that commences in the exotic pealing port of Broome!
Steve, Terri and Bindi continue their journey along the West Australian coast in search of more sharks and, the Kimberley’s most infamous resident – the saltwater crocodile! There’s plenty of underwater action as Steve dives with hundreds of sea snakes and hand feeds more hungry sharks – it’s ‘edge of your seat’ stuff as a feeding frenzy causes some anxious moments for both Steve and the camera crew! Then Steve and Terri brave the dark waters of Kimberley coast to re-enact a fatal crocodile attack always fearful that the man-eater still lurks nearby! And, with the help of the ultimate adventure machine – TRUE NORTH’S helicopter, Steve comes face to face with a huge ‘salty’ – watch in almost disbelief as Steve leaps from the chopper only to become trapped in thick mud inches from the crocodile!
Non-stop action that brings out the best toys – fast boats and even faster helicopters.
So much to see and do that Steve had to make two documentaries.
