Toasting in the New Year won’t feel the same again after spending the countdown in the epicentre of the spectacular Sydney Harbour celebrations, followed by two glorious days soaking up the tranquillity of the Hawkesbury.
This Australian cruise itinerary is provided as example only – prevailing conditions, local arrangements and indeed, what we discover on the day, may cause variation to our adventure cruise schedule. Helicopter flights can be purchased additional to the indicated tariff as a package or individually. Please refer to the sailing schedule to determine if this itinerary is available on the TRUE NORTH or TRUE NORTH II.

Welcome Aboard
Welcome aboard the True North in magnificent Sydney Harbour. Be treated to a delicious dinner on board in one of the finest harbours in the world.
New Year's Eve
Wake up in the harbour and spend the day at Sydney’s famous Taronga Zoo, or take to the skies in our helicopter for a spectacular bird’s-eye view of the harbour. The adventure boats will tour through the harbour past Bradleys Head, Mrs Macquaries Chair, Kirribilli House and on to Woolloomooloo. Hop-off to walk through the beautiful harbourside Botanical Gardens before taking in the sights at Rushcutters Bay and Elizabeth Bay. Travel on to Rose Bay and take a beautiful city bushwalk up to The Gap and the Hornsby Lighthouse. Then return to the True North to ring in the New Year with a live band and see the Harbour Bridge fireworks from one of the most spectacular front-row seats in the house.
Pittwater
After a night to remember, enjoy breakfast in beautiful Pittwater. Walk to the Barrenjoey Lighthouse and beachcomb Pittwater before we return to the True North for a voyage past the Pittwater yacht clubs and onto the tranquil waters of the Hawkesbury River. There might also be a chance to walk from Longnose Point to Flint and Steel Bay through the beautiful Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park – Australia’s second oldest national park. Finish the day with a helicopter flight to the Hunter Valley and a wine tasting at our feature winery.
Jerusalem Bay
Wake up to the song of Jerusalem Bay cicadas and join our local guide as we explore beautiful Cowan Creek to learn about its rich history and rock art. Then, enjoy a refreshing swim at one of the Creek’s many sheltered beaches before rinsing off under a waterfall. Over lunch we’ll head to delightful Bantry Bay where you’ll be able to join an infamous True North ‘raft-up’.
Return to Sydney Harbour
As dawn breaks over the Hawkesbury, we’ll make our way back to Sydney Harbour - time to reminisce about your New Year’s adventure. Disembark early, carrying with you unforgettable memories of fireworks, secluded bays, and the perfect blend of celebration and serenity.

The route, the scenery, the combination of boating, boat excursions and heli-flights – all along with the most amazing scenery, hardly any other tourists, the beautiful boat, the amazing lovely knowledgeable crew and the great group of guests – it was almost too much to take in – all of my senses awakened and my heart and soul took in all this beauty and experiences – a once in a lifetime trip!
