A trip to the beach won’t ever feel the same again after visiting the spectacular Great Barrier Reef. From seeing breathtaking other worlds underwater, to magnificent palm lined white beaches to endless opportunities for you to fish for tonight’s dinner, this truly is a trip to paradise.

Helicopter flights can be purchased additional to the indicated tariff as a package or individually. ITINERARY
Welcome Aboard
Welcome aboard the mighty True North in Cairns. Departing
at sunset we’ll pass Fitzroy Island with drinks in hand before
an overnight steam to Beaver Reef.
Beaver Reef and Missionary Bay
Wake up in Beaver Reef for a dive and snorkel, before heading to Missionary Bay for some fishing and crabbing. Here we’ll adventure on a bushwalk to Hinchinbrook or Nina Peak for some breathtaking views. Finish the day with a cocktail in hand as we travel down Hinchinbrook passage to Haycock Island.
Haycock Island
Today we’ll spend the morning fishing and crabbing around beautiful palm lined Haycock Island. Then after lunch we’ll head to Lucinda, known for the longest Jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, before trekking onwards to Great Palm Island.
Great Palm Island
We’ll spend two adventure filled days at Great Palm Island. Here you’ll meet the local community and learn about their art, bush tucker, and history. Then, explore the spectacular coral gardens of Fantome Island, home to manta rays and turtles.
Great Palm Island
Dive the Western side of Curacoa Island with it’s amazing soft coral and sponge gardens along the wall. For snorkelers, you’ll adventure to the North East corner of Great Palm Island where a WW2 wreck called old Catalina lies. Beachcombers can explore North East Bay, and fishers will have plenty of opportunity to search for squid. After a full two days, we’ll continue overnight to Magnetic island .
Magnetic Island
Spend the day enjoying the natural beauty and serenity of Townsville’s famous Magnetic Island. Here spend the day exploring the island, relaxing at the beach or lounging at one of their many cafes.
John Brewer Reef
Today we’ll adventure out to one of the Great Barrier Reef’s most beautiful spots, John Brewer Reef. Here we’ll snorkel and dive to the Museum of Underwater Art, a spectacular series of installations by underwater sculptor Jason de Caires Taylor. The works are the first of their kind in the southern hemisphere and represent reef conservation, restoration, education, and connection to the local community. It truly is a once in a lifetime experience.
Cape Bowling Green
Experienced divers will have the opportunity to have one of the best wreck dives in Australia at Yongala. Then we’ll motor to Cape Bowling Green for afternoon fish or crab before an overnight steam to Whitehaven Beach.
Whitehaven Beach
Wake up in beautiful Whitehaven Beach for a wander along the beach or a snorkel in the turquoise waters of the Whitsundays. Golfer’s can also head to Hamilton Island for a game, while others can explore the famous island. Then in the afternoon we’ll depart to Percy Islands.
Percy Island
Revel in the coral lined beaches of Percy Island as we head onshore for a day of exploring. Spend your day bushwalking, diving, snorkeling or fishing before an afternoon drinks on the beach and sunset from the deck of the True North II.
Island Head Creek and Lady Musgrave Island
After an early morning steam to Island Head Creek, spend the morning mud crabbing, creek fishing or sightseeing. Then after lunch we’ll head to Boult Reef and the spectacular Lady Musgrave Island and it’s coral atoll. Here you’ll revel in the many species of tropical birds on an island visit, or explore the clear blue underwater world with a snorkel.
Boult Reef
Today we wake up in the south end of the Great Barrier Reef, Boult Reef. Here you’ll be able to explore the mesmerising reef, fish, or take to the sky in a spectacular helicopter ride. At lunch we’ll head to Lady Elliot Island for a dive and visit, before heading to Double Island Point.
Double Island Point
Spend another day in paradise diving, snorkeling, fishing, sightseeing or taking to the skies in the chopper at Double Island Point. Not only is there a Wolf Rock Fishing site here, but if the weather holds up divers could also descend to the HMAS Brisbane wreck. All before continuing on to Moreton Island.
Moreton Island
Known for its spectacular beaches and steep dunes, Moreton Island is truly a slice of paradise. Here you’ll be able to dive Flinders Reef, fish, explore the sand dune beaches or see the bird’s eye view from the helicopter. Finish another spectacular day with drinks on the beach before heading off to Brisbane for our final voyage.
Return to Brisbane
We’ll say goodbye with a morning disembarking to Brisbane, already
