ARIA-nominated Stephen and Colin Pigram recently performed unique musical experience aboard TRUE NORTH at our annual ‘raft up’, set among the majestic King George Falls, WA. An experience unique to TRUE NORTH, the duo performed to an intimate crowd of 50 guests who were able to experience once-in-a-lifetime set.
While onboard, Stephen and Colin Pigram took time out to speak to the importance and influence the Kimberleys had on their own musical endeavours, encouraging those in attendance to engage with the rich culture and land of the region.
Along with his brothers Alan and Phillip, Steve Pigram was a founding member of Scrap Metal. Together they toured nationally and released 4 albums before breaking up in 1995. Alan, Steven and Phillip then joined up with their brothers David, Colin, Gavin and Peter to form The Pigram Brothers. They were nominated for an ARIA Music Award in 2012 for Best World Music Album and have released four albums.
Captured aboard TRUE NORTH and TRUE NORTH II on their annual ‘raft up’, where both vessels join together for the performance, guests were treated to a unique musical experience on the heli-deck. With the twin falls as a backdrop – this was a once-in-a-lifetime performance.
