True North Adventure Cruise’s much anticipated West Papua Discoverer cruise has opened for bookings!
The cruise will be an exciting blend of hidden cultural and breathtaking scenery.
General manager, Peter Trembath, explained that more ‘un-contacted peoples’ were living in West Papua than in any other region in the world.
“This circumstance is bound to deliver unique cultural experiences that are unchallenged by modern life” Mr. Trembath said.
The area also features striking land forms including towering jungles, Amazonian rivers, Jurassic like islands and pristine coral environs.
Mr Trembath said that reports indicated that West Papua may prove to be the most stunning region that the adventure-cruise ship True North has visited.
Going along for the ‘ride’ will be renowned marine life expert, Dr Gerry Allen and Dr Mark Erdmann, a senior advisor to Conservation International. Both have spent many years working and researching in West Papua and their expertise will greatly enhance guest enjoyment and understanding of this still dark land.
Guests will fly out from Darwin on the 19th of October before joining the True North in Sorong – gateway to the “land of un-contacted people!”
